On-line learning
I'm beginning to take classes on lynda.com. The first class I'm taking is on the basics of InDesign CS3. I'd like to follow InDesign with classes on HTML; Flash; Dreamweaver, etc.
Next year I plan on pursuing my Masters degree in Motion design/web design. While pursuing my illustration career...I'll certainly be busy!

I keep forgetting...
that my blog is for me to post ANY image(s) that I draw, completed or not, sketch or not. Can't get it through my thick skull.
I just want to present something nice to those who visit daily. And, thank you for your continued support.
I'm going to start taking classes next week, and will try to post images. They may be just sketch pages, but at least it's something.

To portfolio or not to portfolio
I've always wondered; what constitutes a "portfolio" piece when first building your portfolio?
Is it an image that has to do with current events? Is it a piece that you create in regards to an article you read? Or is it a drawing of a concept that really doesn't have anything to do with a current event?
As an illustrator starting out, it's a tough thing to determine what is a portfolio piece. I guess you just need to trust your instincts, and if it's a great piece in your eyes, then include it.
I plan on posting an image for this post on Friday. It's late as I type this, and I'm sleepy.
Thanks for listening!

Gestures of War - Wired: Final
I'm happy with the finished piece, and I'd like to do another image for the article at some point.

Doodle Doo! Part II
Some more doodles.
I'm currently working on the "Wired" article I read, but took a slight detour and made some design changes to my main site. There are about 5 other articles I'm interested in doing pieces for.
Plus, I bought King Khan and The BBQ Show from iTunes. Great stuff. Check out King Khan and The Shrines as well... \m/
