...everyone needs to now and then. With that, we're heading to the Smoky Mountains tomorrow morning, just outside of Gatlinburg, TN.

Man, it's windy!
It's been quite windy the past few days, so I decided to do a little piece on it.
Done on the iPad using ArtStudio, using a Griffin stylus w/ballpoint pen.

eureka!
I must admit: this piece was inspired by Christoph Niemann. I recently received his Abstract City book which is absolutely fantastic. I've been a long admirer of his work...
Which lead me to this Eureka! piece. I realized that I wasn't having fun when I was creating pieces. I take that back: I WAS having fun, but got too caught up in making pieces I thought were musts. By that, I mean I was too concerned with "finished" pieces without actually knowing what a "finished" piece is. I did this piece the way I know how, and it was quite enjoyable. There were no worries about the "style." It was just drawn...
And that felt so damn good...

Designer Ice Cubes?
A little story I read in The Week about how a guy was stealing ice from a glacier to sell to local establishments so customers could have their drinks chilled w/"designer ice". Sometimes the obvious idea is the way to go...
